Lone Warrior Compendium is Live!

It is my great pleasure to announce that the Lone Warrior Compendium is ready and waiting for you to use it.

The compendium contains hundreds of summaries of articles from the history of Lone Warrior‘s publication. You can now locate articles and issues of interest more easily and explore the scope of Lone Warrior‘s coverage over the years.

It is my understanding that George Banic, who initiated and shepherded this project, will share some thoughts about this occasion either here or in the journal.

However, in the meantime, the Lone Warrior Compendium is accessible here on the website.

Accessing the Search Form

You can find the link to the search form under the Back Issues menu. Hover your mouse over “Back Issues”, then click “Search the Lone Warrior Compendium”:

In the menu, if you hover the mouse over “Search the Lone Warrior Compendium” menu item instead of clicking on it, you can then click on the link to the user’s guide, or you can view that directly at https://lonewarriorswa.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/Compendium-Walkthrough.pdf

Tips for Using the Form

The best tip for using the form is to rely on the drop downs to do most of the work.

The reason is that the keyword search treats whatever is entered in the search box as a phrase. If you enter multiple words, it will look for all of those words, in that exact order. Let the drop downs do as much of the filtering as you can and use the keyword search box to drill down to a specific topic of interest, if the results are too numerous.

The Conflict drop down in particular can really narrow results in a hurry. Please note though, not all conflicts listed necessarily have any articles indexed yet!

As I note in the intro to the guide, the indexing of the articles is not yet complete, but there is already a lot to explore.
