In this month’s sample article, George Knapp sings the praises of paper armies as an inexpensive, alternative for getting forces on the table. Includes an overview of building armies from images from JuniorGeneral.org and pictures of completed armies in action.

You can find it and other sample articles from previous issues of Lone Warrior on the Sample Articles page.

That’s a really well written piece…many thanks for the post.
(As an aside, Kaptain Kobold of The Stronghold Rebuilt blog has been using those paper soldiers for his ECW games for a number of years, and I’m always impressed by how effective they are. He plays many of the games solo…it’s a blog well worth looking through. eg http://hordesofthethings.blogspot.com/search/label/ecw ).
Agree with Martin’s comments. Many thanks Martin also for the heads-up on Kaptain Kobold, will check out his blog site.
Cheers

Well worth it…loads of solo games played and well reported by the Kaptain over many years.
He’s in Aus., possibly Woolongong (?).
