Brian Cameron shares “Metternich’s Wars”, his comprehensive division-level rules for the early-to-mid 19th century. His design notes appear in Lone Warrior 218.

    Many thanks for posting your ‘Metternich’s Wars’ rules. I’ve only had a quick look through so far, so don’t have any considered observations/comments to make, but straight up I have to say that I really like the leader characteristics you’ve used! I had been thinking along similar lines for grading the competence and default reactions of leaders for my own work, but I think you’ve done a better job of it than I have!

    I’ll need to read through the rules in slow time before I say anything more and this also gives me a great reason to get some figures out on the table for a play test!

    Thanks again for providing the rules. I can see that a lot of time and effort has gone into them!!
