I can see why you chose to review both books together, however of the two I far prefer the first – it just has that nice WRG feel about it, and as I recall it anyway, the scenarios were a bit more interesting. Having said that I wouldn’t, through choice, part with either book.

I have both of these books on my bookshelf and would have no hesitation in recommending them to other solo wargamers. The first book from 1983 is the one that has seen most use as indeed it still does and will continue to do so. What surprised me really was the asking price which on Amazon has now risen to 45.00 GBP. Nice to know that I made such a sound investment back in 1983.
