Review of ‘Fighting Men’ book (1963)

Rob Morgan reviews a long out-of-print book that would still be of some use to wargamers today, sub-titled, “How men have fought through the ages.”

It’s on the Reviews page.

Great review – I’d love to see some of the internal illustrations. I’m not sure, but I seem to remember this book from either my local or my school library.

On the topic of Henry Treece’s books – Windswept City is a great favourite of mine. Told from a child’s perspective it’s a great read nonetheless, and explains the “Wooden Horse” quite convincingly. Well worth picking up if Heroic Age Greece is of interest to you.
