Change of Editor

By Brian Cameron

That’s not a title one can use often in the SWA given Rich Barbuto has been in post for 27 years.

May I extend my thanks and congratulations for all the hard work you’ve put in over that time. My personal thanks also for an enthusiastic reception when I first wrote a piece for possible publication and the encouragement to write more. I hope you’ll include some contributions to LW among your writing and I look forward to another volume on one of my favourite subjects, the War if 1812.

All the best to you.

Rich has been great. He will be missed.

  2. Martin S. says:

We’ve been blessed with a proactive, inclusive and gifted editor….Editors ‘make’ a magazine, just as much as the contributors do.
    Many thanks, Rich

  3. plastic general says:

thanks for your time served! i know it is a thankless task!

  4. JAird says:

We’ll all rally around our new Editor, but Rich you surely will be leaving very large shoes to fill! Your perseverance with Lone Warrior and the successful adaption to the non-print version has led the magazine to reach ever greater heights. It looks great with all that colour! And you’ve brought in so many new contributors, which is the real life-blood of the magazine.

A quite simple “thank you” seems too little – but, thank you!
